An exciting classroom
The educational program of the Aquarium of New Brunswick aims to introduce young Francophones and Anglophones to the wonders of the aquatic world of Eastern Canada. It is offered every year from May to June. The program includes a wide range of games and educational activities adapted to each grade level, from kindergarten to 9th grade, which makes it very stimulating.

Lobsters can live very long, between 80 and 100 years.
Orange, yellow, tangerine, white or even blue lobsters are very rare. Fishermen can find only one among several million lobsters caught.
The record for the largest lobster caught is 20kg (44 pounds).
The male mates with the female after the female has molted (when its shell is soft).
Each females lay between 5,000 and 100,000 eggs.
A lobster’s weight increases by 40% and its size grow by 15% every time it molts.
A lobster must be 5 to 8 years old to reach commercial size.
Cut or broken lobster claws grow back when the shell changes.
Lobster antennae are used to find food and detect enemies.
